National Resources
We Are Undefeatable
We Are Undefeatable is a joint campaign with Sport England and 20 Richmond Group charities to inspire and support people with long-term health conditions to be active. The website has a range of resources including personal stories and ideas to get started moving when living with a long-term condition.
Stronger My Way
Stronger My Way is an online hub from the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy providing evidence, training and resources to support people to get stronger. The website includes information for professionals to support their patients be be stronger, do more, feel better and stay active.
Virtual Village Hall
Virtual Village Hall is an online activity hub and community run by Royal Voluntary Service. Over 2,000 sessions available including physical activity classes led by expert tutors. There is the option join live sessions each week or catch up on demand.
NHS Fitness Studio
The NHS Fitness Studio provides a trusted source of information on being physically active. The website includes a range of online physical activity videos, including exercises appropriate for older adults, as well as those living with arthritis, MS, osteoporosis and back pain
Swim England - Water Wellbeing
Water Wellbeing is a programme run by Swim England supporting people with long-term health conditions or impairments to be active in water. The website provides health condition fact sheets, a Swimming as Medicine film series and a pool finder search tool that helps patients to find the right pool type and activities to suit their needs.

Moving More Activity Finder
The Moving More The Activity Finder is an online platform where you can search for local physical activity sessions. The Activity Finder is powered by open data meaning there shouldn't be any out of date information with Moving More. This makes it a great tool to help signpost people looking to find physical activity opportunities but are unsure what their local options are.
Exercise Referral Schemes
Exercise referral schemes are long-term health condition prevention and management programmes, which aim to improve the health and wellbeing inactive adults who are at risk of developing or who have an existing long-term health condition. This webpage pulls together the exercise referral offer in Hertfordshire, including details of the varying programmes and referral contacts.
The Herts Sport & Physical Activity Partnership (HSP)
HSP are the Active Partnership in Hertfordshire. The HSP website has a wide range of physical activity resources including guidance on getting active for different demographics.
Live Longer Better in Hertfordshire
Live Longer Better in Hertfordshire is a movement that uses activity (physical, cognitive and emotional) to encourage longer, healthier and happier lives for older adults in Hertfordshire. Sign up to their newsletter to be kept up to date on the latest Hertfordshire based information to encourage older adults to stay active for longer. You can find training and upcoming events on the website.
Hertfordshire Health Walks
Hertfordshire Health Walks are free group walks led by volunteers that take place in the local community. The walks are all graded, with their First Steps walks catering for people who are returning from illness and injury and those who haven't been physically active in a while. Hertfordshire Health Walks offers more than 100 free walking opportunities which are open to everyone.
parkrun
parkrun is a free, community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. parkrun is 5km and takes place every Saturday morning, with a positive, welcoming and inclusive environment. There is no time limit and no one finishes last. There are a number of parkruns taking place throughout Hertfordshire, you can find your local event on the interactive parkrun map.
GP Surgeries can register to become a parkrun practice by simply linking with one or more local parkrun event and encouraging staff and patients to participate.
